സ്വയം പ്രഖ്യാപിത ആള്ദൈവം ഗുര്മീത് സിങ് റാം റഹീമിനെ ബലാല്സംഗക്കേസില് കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയതിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് ഹരിയാനയിലും അയല് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലുമായി പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ട കലാപം നിയന്ത്രിക്കാന് സംസ്ഥാന സര്ക്കാറുകള് പരാജയപ്പെട്ട സാഹചര്യത്തില് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ഭരണം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം ശക്തമാവുന്നു. സോഷ്യല് മീഡിയയിലാണ് #presidentsruleharyana എന്ന ഹാഷ്ടാഗ് പ്രചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
നിരവധി പേര് കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും അനിഷ്ട സംഭവങ്ങള് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടും സംഭവത്തില് സംസ്ഥാന സര്ക്കാറുകള് നിഷ്ക്രിയമാണെന്നാരോപിച്ചാണ് പ്രചാരണം. ഹൈക്കോടതിയും ഇക്കാര്യം ചുണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ച് സംസ്ഥാന സര്ക്കാറുകളെ രൂക്ഷമായ ഭാഷയില് വിമര്ശിച്ചുരുന്നു.
ബി.ജെ.പി സര്ക്കാര് ഭരിക്കുന്ന ഹരിയാനയില് രാഷ്ട്രീയ ലാഭം ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് കലാപകാരികള്ക്കെതിരെ നടപടിയെടുക്കാത്തതെന്നായിരുന്നു പ്രധാന ആരോപണം.
