എന്നാല്‍ വി.കെ സിങിന് ശക്തമായ മറുപടിയുമായി രാം കിഷന്‍ ഗ്രെവാലിന്റെ മകന്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തി. സൈനികരോടുള്ള സര്‍ക്കാറിന്റെ മനോഭാവം ഇതാണെങ്കില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ ആത്മഹത്യകള്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. വിഷം കഴിച്ച ശേഷം പിതാവ് തന്നെ ഫോണില്‍ വിളിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നും കൂടുതല്‍ പേര് ആത്മഹത്യക്ക് തയാറാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞതായും മകന്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

സൈനികനെ അപമാനിച്ച വി.കെ സിങ് മാപ്പുപറയണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം ട്വിറ്റര്‍ അടക്കമുള്ള സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയില്‍ ശക്തമായി.

ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ ലേഡി ഹാര്‍ഡിഞ്ച് ആസ്പത്രിയില്‍ മുന്‍ സൈനികന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് രാഹുല്‍ ഗാന്ധിയെ പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു. ഡല്‍ഹി മന്ത്രി മനീഷ് സിസോദിയയെയും പൊലീസ് തടഞ്ഞു. സൈനികന്റെ മരണം രാഷ്ട്രീയവല്‍ക്കരിക്കാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കില്ലെന്നു പറഞ്ഞായിരുന്നു പൊലീസ് നടപടി.
