ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: റമസാനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ജമ്മു കശ്മീരില് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച വെടിനിര്ത്തല് കേന്ദ്രസര്ക്കാര് പിന്വലിച്ചു. വെടിനിര്ത്തല് തുടരാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രി രാജ്നാഥ് സിങ് ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു. ഭീകരര്ക്കെതിരായ സൈനിക നടപടികള് തുടരുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ഭീകരവാദവും അക്രമപ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളും നടത്തുന്നവര്ക്കെതിരെ കര്ശന നടപടികളെടുക്കാന് സുരക്ഷാ സേനക്ക് നിര്ദേശം നല്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും രാജ്നാഥ് സിങ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. വെടിനിര്ത്തല് കാലയളവില് ഭീകരാക്രമണങ്ങളും ആളുകള്ക്ക് ജീവഹാനിയുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന സംഭവങ്ങളും വര്ധിച്ചതായി അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
On 17th May 2018, GoI took the decision that Security Forces will not conduct offensive operations in J&K during the holy month of Ramzan. This decision was taken in the interests of the peace loving people of J&K, in order to provide them a conducive atmosphere to observe Ramzan

The Government commends the role of Security Forces for having implemented the decision in letter and spirit in the face of grave provocation, to enable the Muslim brothers and sisters to observe Ramzan in a peaceful manner.

It was expected that everyone will cooperate in ensuring the success of this initiative. While the Security Forces have displayed exemplary restraint during this period, the terrorists have continued with their attacks, on civilians and SFs, resulting in deaths and injuries.
