We said we’d say it was the snow that killed the other two, but it wasn’t. Nature is lethal but it doesn’t hold a candle to man.

കൊച്ചി: വൈറ്റിലയിലെ ഒരു ബാറില് മാരകായുധങ്ങളുമായി നടത്തിയ അക്രമവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് യുവതി ഉള്പ്പെടെ മൂന്നു പേരെ മരട് പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. തിരുവനന്തപുരം സ്വദേശിനി അലീന, കൊല്ലം സ്വദേശികളായ ഷഹിന്ഷാ, അല് അമീന് എന്നിവരാണ് പിടിയിലായത്. മറ്റൊരാള്, വടിവാള് കൊണ്ടുവന്നതായി കണ്ടെത്തിയ തിരുവനന്തപുരം സ്വദേശി വൈഷ്ണവ്, ഇപ്പോഴും ഒളിവിലാണ്. ഞായറാഴ്ച നടന്ന സംഭവത്തില് ബാറിന് പുറത്തുനിന്ന് സംഘം കാറില് നിന്നിറങ്ങി വടിവാള് എടുത്ത് അകത്തു കടന്നുവരുന്ന ദൃശ്യങ്ങള് സി.സി.ടി.വിയില് വ്യക്തമായി രേഖപ്പെട്ടു. മദ്യപിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ അഞ്ചംഗ സംഘവും അവിടെ എത്തിയ മറ്റൊരാളുമായി തര്ക്കത്തിലാകുകയായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ ഘട്ടത്തില്. ഇത് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്ത ബാര് ജീവനക്കാരുമായി സംഘര്ഷം ശക്തമായി. പ്രതികളുടെ സംഘം ആദ്യം ബാറില് നിന്ന് പുറത്തുപോയെങ്കിലും, അലീനയും കൂട്ടരും കുറച്ച് സമയത്തിനുശേഷം വടിവാളുമായി തിരികെ എത്തി. തുടര്ന്ന് ബാര് ജീവനക്കാര്ക്ക് മര്ദനമേല്ക്കുകയും അക്രമം ആവര്ത്തിച്ച് അഞ്ചുതവണ വരെ തിരിച്ചെത്തി ആക്രമണം നടത്തിയതായും ബാര് ഉടമ നല്കിയ പരാതിയില് പറയുന്നു. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ആവശ്യങ്ങള്ക്കായി എറണാകുളത്ത് എത്തിയവരാണ് പ്രതികളെന്ന് പൊലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. സംഭവത്തില് അലീനയുടെ കൈക്ക് പരുക്കേല്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
